If it's Trump vs. Hillary, I have no problem supporting Trump.

I'm pretty sure that was during one of the gun debates. The argument I made was that if you look to the Constitution solely to protect us FROM government, it already failed to do that when the PATRIOT Act was passed, because WE as Americans allowed it to be raped and pillaged.

In other words, no one who claims to support the Constitution can support the PATRIOT Act. The two are mutually exclusive.

By the way, not all of our founding values are explicitly spelled out in a governing document, either.
