I don't have golloshes. But I just went to the weather channel websites. The flash flood warnings are in effect until 6. I am going to give it a few minutes more.

Great. Like we need anymore storms here.

We had one pop up right over the city Tuesday or Wednesday that had some hellacious lightning and thunder. I could've swore I heard what sounded like an explosion in my apartment.

This weather beats the hell out of the 95-degree, 80-percent humidity days we've had the last couple weeks. We had a heat index of 93 at 11 pm Wednesday.

We has just a brief thunderstorm here Tuesday afternoon. Five minutes at most. All it did was make it steamier.

This storm will at least knock the temperature degree back down to normal for a few days.

    All I'll say is this:

12:30 p.m.: Out of work on summer half-day Fridays

1:30 p.m.: On the first tee at Hendricks Field

3:30 p.m.: Finished up with a birdie on nine

5 p.m.: Showered (inside) and then out for early dinner

5:30 p.m. Watched the lovely storm roar through over chili and a French dip at the Ritz

6:30 p.m.: Home, cool and dry, in time for the Yankee game

I'm home. But the cable TV is on the fritz. The box won't reset itself, and I am getting 5 channels that don't link up to any channel numbers. Three aren't in English and the other two are public access. It's bizarre.

But can you find a way to blame Whitlock...

The rains finally hit Lexington. It's been a steady downpour for the last 5 or so minutes. I made a run to Blockbuster to return Madden and went to Party Barn to get some Bacardi. I got in and the heavens opened.

About 85 here. A little cloudy, but I guess no complaints. Good hiking and biking weather.

I don't blame Whitlock for anything.

The dude even cock-blocked me that night and I didn't blame him.
