    I'm sure anyone going into a press conference with POTUS in Iraq is pretty heavily frisked.

    So, yeah, putting a bullet in the guy was unnecessary.

    EDIT: You know, on second thought, I'm full of shit here. I have no idea where the SS was located in the room. They can't be everywhere.

    I'm gonna guess that they let their guard was down because they felt they were in a controlled setting. Of course, in Iraq, that may not mean much given the level of animosity toward Bush there.
