Just to clarify, are we talking about actors whose careers began in 1980 or later? Or is it actors who did not become stars until the '80s?

If either of those is the cut-off, I don't think you can include Ford. The bulk of his career may have been after 1980, but he was already a star in the '70s from Star Wars.

I'd have a real hard time putting Reese Witherspoon in. She was good as June Carter, but most of her films have been utter crap.

I'd rather see someone like Susan Sarandon (perhaps too old?), Cate Blanchette or Charlize Theron in there.

No problem with Harrison Ford in there. He was made a star by Star Wars, but two of the three films opened in the 80s and the large majority of his work took place after 1980 (including Indiana Jones). The guy's an icon. Has to be in there.

Spnited had a good call on Sean Penn. Absolutely has to be in there.

I was just asking for clarification. If you take his resume just from 1980 on, there is more than enough there to put him in.

Maybe Hoffman has, but none of the others have a career that could be considered now or appears to be on the way to being an all-timer.
