Holiday travel thread

First week of winter vacation: the southern "over the river" expedition.

Second week: the northern "and through the woods" trek.

Tonight: home. Jameson's. More Jameson's.

 

I fly home tomorrow night. I called Continental hoping to go standby on an earlier flight, since I'm stuck on the red-eye and have to actually be coherent for work.

It turns out all the flights are already oversold. The very sweet customer-service woman said it's going to be an incredibly busy travel day -- the formal end of the holiday season. So much for my plan to fly out early and back late. :-\

I just hope the free airport Wifi works this time!
