Holiday deadlines

Our deadline was pushed up to 8:30 p.m. tonight. Just curious how other papers adjust their deadlines for the holidays.

 

9:15 final

 

I think we have a similar deadline because circulation needs extra time to stuff all the ads in. I'm off, so I don't know how early we have to go, but I know earlier in the week there were talks of an 8:30 or earlier deadline.

 

Ours is 6 p.m. I love it.

ours is 5:15 p.m. for color, 5:30 for black and white (central time zone)

Good thing the Bammers were playing in Maui earlier in the day, so we had something else to put on front besides Iron Bowl coverage

 

If you're working, you love an early deadline. But if you want the best section that has the night results, early deadlines stink.

 

And we are out 45 minutes early.

Thankfully we are far enough away from Austin that we didn't have to wait for this basketball game.
