    Never got a Christmas bonus in 12 years. Working at a new shop this year so I'm eager to find out.

    Once got a $5K life insurance policy for a year . . . but you had to die to collect.

    As a full-time freelance writer I thought my days of holiday gifts were over, so I was beyond surprised when a $20 bookstore giftcard arrived yesterday from one of my clients-- a Gannett paper.

    sadly, i believe the nfl's full slate of games sunday has screwed many on us. :mad: :mad: :mad:

    I got a $10 gift card to Wal-Mart one year, but I was told it was a thanks for "all the hard work you guys do."

    Other than that, the only bonus I get is working on Christmas.

    I brought in a cookie tray from Costco for the prep crew. Even though I'm a correspondent grunt like they are, officially, no one from this paper was going to do anything for them.
    But you are welcome to share in the cookies...
