Hockey team bans writer

Update: Not much to go on yet, but the Kamloops Daily News' Twitter feed says the ban on Drinnan has been lifted following a meeting between the league, team and paper this morning.

No word on whether the league will discipline the team for violating the media policy - which in my opinion has a wider impact than the ban on the writer.

What kind of discipline might be available to the league? A fine? Loss of draft picks?

I'd like to see a fine. Wrote an editorial on it tonight, hopefully my paper will publish it Thursday.

Every time I see someone suggesting you not cover the team, because they won't talk to you, I shake my head.

This is about the readers, not the team.

Glad to see it's been revised.
