Is there a whiff of metatextual reference in the line "Unskinny bop, nothing more to say"?

Or is it mere irony that he goes on to say much more? Or does he, really?

Hit the gym, play slo-pitch, run with my dog, yoga ... or sit on the couch, watching mind-numbing TV.

Hey ... we can hang out.  We watch the sames shows and while I don't crochet, I do cross stitch.  And we could discuss the novels of Tom Wolfe during commerical breaks.  :D

Golf as much as possible without going broke. Snowboard as much as possible in the winter. I've gotten back into skateboarding this summer after not doing much of it in a few years. Go to the occasional bar/party every week or so...

For all the disadvantages of free-lancing, getting off the road and leaving the beat life has allowed me to expand my horizons and pursue other passions. It's been a healthy experience and I don't miss the 24/7 nature of beat life.

I just went kayaking at Shell Beach last weekend.
That would be a great hobby, if I had the opportunity to do it more often.

    Shell Beach, huh?

I used to hang out at Shell Beach.

Off-roading on the Quadalupe Dunes is as fun as it gets.
