    Deer Hunter, awesome.

Ever stop to consider John Cazale's body of work? He was in five movies:

    The Godfather
    The Godfather, Part II
    The Deer Hunter
    Dog Day Afternoon
    The Conversation

All were nominated or won the Best Picture Oscar. Plus, he was engaged to Meryl Streep when he died.

Yeah, I know he died of bone cancer at age 42, but I'd say he had a good run ...

I think a gay guy in the 50s and early 60s could have certainly draw from plenty of personal experience for acting out sexual tension.

And there's the criminally underrated "The Trouble with Harry" (Shirley McLaine's movie debut). Slyly funny.
"The Birds" holds a special place at my house. Mrs. Terrier once won her office Halloween costume contest as Tippi Hedren.

    . . . and don't forget Jerry Mathers (NOT as the Beaver . . . )

Lifeboat is his most underrated work. Awesome movie. Gotta love Rope, too.

Thanks. I collaberated with Arthur Laurents on the screenplay for Rope.
I took care of the plot twists/historical derivation parts; AL took care of the mancrush parts.

So many Hitchcock films... To Catch a Thief with Grant and Grace Kelly is great.
