Is there a comprehensive catalogue of baseball historical newspapers that are available online?

Supposing not, has anyone in baseball world tried that for newspapers in high-level baseball cities, such as the major league cities for starters?

What do you mean by "baseball historical newspapers"? Papers in cities that had major league teams, or something different? And from what era?

ProQuest has some biggies (LAT, NYT, WaPo, ChiTrib, Globe, et al), if you can procure a subscription somewhere -- your local library may offer a limited one. Newspaperarchive.com has hundreds of smaller papers, also for a subscription. Paperofrecord.com has most of the Sporting News archives from 1886 on.

Google News also has a ton of papers archived, if you're looking for something in the past 40 years or so.

Send me a PM if you have any specific questions.

I believe paperofrecord.com is kaput, unless you are a SABR member.
