With the Yankees destroying the DRays 18-3, I was trying to find the highest run total by one team in one game. I know Minnesota scored 20 earlier this year, but I can't find the other number. Can anyone help?
    P.S. I have been looking on baseball-reference.com.

The Phillies beat the Cubs 23-22 in 1979, I believe. But I think someone once scored 24 or 25.

Jebus. Did they have any pitchers left?

I should have known that answer, or at least part of it. I watched that Cubs-Rockies game back in '95.

The game actually went 10 innings.

Both starting pitchers lasted only 1/3 inning.

And stunningly, the time of game was only 4:03.

Oh, by the way ... the wind was blowing out to left that day.

So with the Yankees scoring 35 37 (and counting) runs in two games, how badly is this going to throw off the whole W/L projection based on run differential thing?

And I am really glad I dropped James Shields a few days ago.

If memory serves me correctly, Schmiddy hit four out that day.

    Sadly, I didn't.

3.1 innings pitched, 10 earned runs.
