High schooler murdered in Mexico, wanted to be a smuggler

    This might be the oddest story I've read this week. Her mother said she wanted to become a coyote and smuggle illegals into the country. And that she was an exotic dancer. But her friends don't seem to know any of that part of her life.

    That is fucked up.

    If the stories are true, she'd have ended up dead before too long anyway. Not to say she deserved this, not at all, but it sounds like she was playing some very dangerous games.

    Yeah, but tragically, what this story ignores is all those other young people who have made a successful career out of this....

    What kind of money is involved? Being a coyote sounds like a lucrative, albeit dangerous (and highly illegal, of course), profession.
