High School vs. Preps

    Back when I was doing it, we used preps to discuss among ourselves inside the office, but never used that terminology in print. That made sense to me, because that's the way Joe Shmo on the street talks. It's high school sports.

    I also guess someone should let Knoxville in on this thread. They put a section each week called Prep Xtra.

    Six of preps, half a dozen of high schools to me.

    Never been preps in NJ... high schools

    Depends on the mood, but more times than not it is high school.

    You are right there. Say preps in the Northeast and you're thinking private institutions.
