    It really wasn't until the late 60s or early 70s that the word "dick" became a euphemism for the male appendage. He was born in 1928, so he was in his 40s by the time that happened. He's supposed to change his name in his 40s?

    I have a good friend who went through the same thing. He was "Dick" growing up. He tries to go by Richard now, but he has the good fortune that most people refer to him by a shortened version of his last name.

    Find it hard to believe more wasn't made of the political connections here, from one side or the other. Guess the Graniteers (or whatever you call people from N.H.) are above that.
