High School player cuts slashes opposing team with knife

    WBAL Radio as reported by Scott Wykoff and WUSA TV

    A Maryland high school football player was arrested this weekend after police say he used a razor to cut the hands of opponents while shaking hands at midfield after a game.

    WUSA TV reports It happened in Montgomery County in Derwood right after a game between Blake High School and Magruder High School.

    Montgomery County Police say the Blake player, who was on the sidelines but not in uniform for the game, pulled out a razor blade and cut the hands of a few Magruder players as the two teams shook hands.

    The player was detained right after it the game and then arrested. He faces assault charges.

    Police say the players who were cut suffered minor cuts on their hands and will be o.k.

    Magruder beat Blake 55 to 7.

    When they make cuts during football season, they don't fool around.

    Don't even ask what happened when the two coaches traded barbs after the game.

    I stand corrected. Montgomery County. That surprises me.

    I heard that kid from Blake was a great cut back running.

    Jeez, and we thought it was something at one of my previous stops when the star running back on a losing team said "Fuck you" to every single member of the opposing team during the post-game handshakes.

  11. If you knew who the player was, even though he's a minor, wouldn't you report his name?
    If I saw it happen, that little bastard is getting his name in the paper.

    Depends on the paper. Some places won't allow it as a matter of policy when a minor is arrested.
