It's one thing when George the asshole down at the barber shop is pissed at Coach Norman Dale for not giving young Buddy PT for Hickory High, but when George the asshole is paying $70,000 a year for Buddy to play at Hoosiers High-Impact Hoops Academy, he's going to want to see Buddy on the court.

Are IMG and other sports academies going to sponsor B teams, C teams, D-E-F teams, however many teams it takes for Little Buddy to get PT so college scouts will see him?

And if public schools are going to have very good reasons not to play the IMG "varsity" or A teams, what the hell kind of fools are going to sign up to play their C teams or E teams or G teams (even if those teams may actually be closer in competition levels to conventional HS teams)?

Bottom line, any high school making any attempt to play conventional interscholastic sports should utterly boycott playing any private boarding school or sports academy.

I agree on the sports academy, but if a school wants to play a military school whose mission is not just to field a football team, then I have no problem with it.
