Hiccups

    I always thought that was a "cure" offered solely by people wanting to be entertained by their hiccup-inflicted and soon-to-be-drenched friends.

    Hiccups are caused by a lack of oxygen in your body. Take deep breaths, drink (or chug) a lot of water and stop drinking caffine.

    This is why every cure has to do with water or breathing.

    Alcohol takes water out of your body, and this water is what gives you your oxygen. This is the reason why drunks hiccup. Alcohol also causes cramps (lack of oxygen) and those cute 3 am calf spasms I used to have in college.
