Not that this explains anything, but what does it mean? It was posted at the end of the story?

Reuters killed the NY bureau and moved it to Salvo?

 

Jeez, Cleveland's team must have been easy to beat. They were playing with one player. That's what the headline says at least.

Sometimes the best editing you can do is to leave the writer's byline on the story for all to see. Teaches the clown a lesson. Pity, though, that he couldn't remove the editing credit.

 

Salvo is on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Gene Cherry used to be the track and field writer for the Raleigh News and Observer.

 

That headline's great. Wang's fifth consecutive win is what helped the Yankees, uh, win.

 

Those Salvo Yankees are gonna be tough to beat.

 

Good for him. Now why is Reuters having a writer in North Carolina covering a game at Yankee Stadium. Can't they staff it?

 

I'm headed to Waves for a long weekend in August. Think I might see if they'll let me cover a Mets game for them.
