There was a long piece some time back (I think in the NYTimes) about the couple and the agony they went through after he was finally released from hospital.

That is one disturbing photo.

Hell, I didn't vote for him in '04 or the first time, and really didn't like the first Bush (stupid to fight the first Gulf war), but the distaste I have for the pair of them is almost matched by that I have for you who blame every MF'ing problem in the world on Bush right now.

He f'ed this up bad for all intents and purposes, so all of you need to get together and put up a better f'ing candidate who can win in '08. But then what would you spend all day doing?

 

I was at Target a couple days back and I noticed that I didn't notice someone who had a prosthetic leg. And it kind of shook me.
It used to be that when I saw someone disfigured or with a fake arm or leg I would mentally say "don't stare, don't stare, don't stare."
Now I don't.
I see so many people, these veterans with a part of their face melted away, or a metal arm or a ceramic leg that it doesn't even register.
All because of this stupid fucking war and all the fucking idiots who say we should still be there.
For what? For nothing. We aren't spreading democracy, we aren't making the world a better place. All because we have the worst fucking President in the country's history and a dedicated band of cultists who support him regardless and call themselves patriots in the process.
This time will be remembered with such shame. I wonder how people in the future will be able to explain how the country went collectively crazy.
At least we haven't bombed Iran - yet.

 

Generally, I think he only gets blamed for the ones he deserves blame for. It just happens to be a long list.
