It will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Herschel Walker has signed a multi fight contract with Strikeforce (who have TV deals with CBS and Showtime).

This is a tough way to make $138.

I can't imagine Herschel needs the money.

As someone who grew up in Athens when he was at UGA and used to worship him, it really has been a steady, sad decline since he left school.

  6. Herschel should have a little chat with Johnnie Morton about how far those McBlack Belts get you when you actually step into an MMA ring ...

Sadly, I can imagine a lot of scenarios under which Herschel would need the money.

    End well, this will not.

I suppose he could fight Carlton Haselrig, who’s also been pursing a career in MMA recently.

Haselrig 's currently suspended by the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board for no showing a bout a few weeks back. That suspension’s only a 150 days though so he should be free in 2010.

I don't watch MMA, but how old are most of these guys? 47 would be ancient, right?

Hershel -- along with a pre-injury Bo Jackson -- is one of the best athletes I've ever seen. But this doesn't sound smart.

I hope he doesn't need the money & I hope he doesn't get hurt.

Randy Couture is well into his 40s.

Maybe he could fight the paraplegic guy.
