I know that I am. After all, his teams "play to win the game!"

Why not immediately once the season was done?

Perhaps it had something to do with making sure they got a new GM hired first. Possibly?

Love the one sentence story on the ESPN right now:

KANSAS CITY -- Chiefs coach Herm Edwards was fired Friday, a well-placed source told ESPN.

There was part of me that was beginning to wonder if Pioli was going to write off next season and then go after any of the big names that are supposed to be out there in 2010.

I'm curious what direction Pioli is going to go.

Obviously more of a coordinator type, but to their mild credit the Chiefs did try to play to some strengths the second half of the season by using mild forms of the spread in their offense. Whoever gets this gig doesn't have much of a bar to leap, either with the team or the division.
