    Back in the 90s, when newspaper unions still went on strike, I remember reading an SF Chronicle product put out by scabs - it was ghastly compared to their union product - probably better than most papers published today.

    No suits means you've still got hope. Mark is spot on about advertising. That's where the money is.

    Too many people are content getting their news from "Entertainment Tonight." They don't know why they should care what their city council is doing, and that's bad news for the industry.

    Why buy a paper when you can watch the pinhead TV news anchors read from it at 6 o'clock?
