We can all agree hearing loss is no fun. That didn’t stop this recent moment on “The Sports Show’’ from being funny.

Sid was wearing a high-tech amplifier to assist with his hearing. He told Mike Max, the moderator, that he wanted to come back from a break with a plug for this device.

We returned with Sid profusely thanking the people behind this remarkable device for their assistance. So, Max asked a follow-up question and Sid offered his familiar, “Huh?”

Sid is 96 and still writing for the Star Tribune. Still appearing at games, still going to press conferences. Writes about three columns per week. Still does a weekly radio show, plus a weekly TV show.

His first column was on September 11, 1945. He brought the Lakers to Minneapolis.

Good writeup on an exchange between Sid and the late Prince at Super Bowl 41: Sid to Prince: 'Hey Prince!' Prince to Sid: 'Hello, Mr. Hartman'
