    Does anyone really believe George Steinbrenner has turned over the operations of the team to his sons?

    Until he's in his grave, George Steinbrenner will still be pulling the strings.

    I actually agree with Casty's scenario, except I think the Yanks might offer Torre a WHOLE lot of money for one year, thus setting up Mattingly to be the manager in 2009.

    I think his sons will be running the show for the most part. But, yeah, as long at Big Stein is still alive, he's going to have a huge, huge influence on what goes down.
