If I had a dollar for every thread Chef starts that is just double-spaced poker play-by-play, I'd have enough to escape to the islands for a weekend.

I had a vaguely similar hand a few weeks ago in a $1-2 no-limit cash game at a casino, flopped a straight and then caught a straight flush on the turn. Two guys went all the way to the end of the hand all-in with me, one had a full house, other had a bigger full house. My s-flush dragged nearly $600. I promptly racked my chips and left, and everyone at the table howled like crazy at me. And not friendly-funny howling, but seriously angry that I was leaving without giving them a chance to win their money back. Shi-it, if I get a payout like that, the door can't come fast enough.

    I'm with you, play.

If I have a chance to leave up 200-300 percent for the session, especially if I've been drinking at the table or just playing for fun, you can be damn sure I'm taking it.

Anybody with a problem with that can pound sand.

I would slam my cards on the table and yell, "Yahtzee!" and then flip the table over, run around in a circle 5-6 times and then go home.

    But that's me.

Seriously. At that point it can't get any better. Take the winnings and leave. In a casino, the seat will be taken quickly by someone else from whom they can win their cash back ... or to whom they can lose more of their cash.

Last month in Laughlin, Nevada at a $10 black jack table, I had $10 out and was dealt a 10d and Qh. The dealer showed a 5d.

    I held.

    Dealer turned over a 6c

    Then a 4h

    Then a 6s

    I lost.
