Here's a stunner: Media coverage favors Dems

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Lyman_Bostock, Oct 31, 2006.

  1. From that bastion of right-wing thought, USA Today:

Of course it favors "Dems." The "Repubs" are fucking shit up. That's according to the "reality-based community," though, so take it with a grain of salt.

And this just in: the left wing Canadian weather channel is reporting that the sun will come up tomorrow.

How dare they cover the Foley scandal?

Well, it too bad for the GOP that Mark Foley isn't a Democrat (though Fox News tried hard to make him one).

Meanwhile, the political director at ABC News could not comment, as he was too busy whoring himself to right-wingers on Fox, saying "we'll explain to people what Nancy Pelosi's liberal views are like." (So much for the kid-gloves treatment for Pelosi.) Meanwhile, his staffers are producing stories insisting that "both sides are slinging mud" with campaign ads -- without citing a single offending ad from Democrats.

  7. Actually, Robert Lichter's been beating this tin drum for 30 years. Check out his funding.
Excuse me but George Bush is not a factor in the midterms? Mark Foley's not a factor?
Hackwork but, if it makes you feel good, OK.

If the Republicans in Congress would have preferred this election not be about Fredo, maybe spending the last six years rubber stamping every single item he sent through there was a bad idea.

Oh, and since when is reporting that a particular candidate is favored to win considered positive coverage? Seems to me that if you thought your guy wasn't going to win without your vote, you'd get your ass to the polls.

Yes, yes, it's the damned media's fault Foley was sending naughty IMs to a Congressional page. In fact, the MSM is the reason he became an alcoholic and the MSM caused that priest to go skinny-dipping with him decades ago.

And he's not running any more. But the MSM has done its damndest to tie Foley to every other Republican and drag them all down with him.

Just like they did with the Dems and Studds back in 1983 ... well, not really.

And I'm sure those nine stories on Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential ambitions were absolutely fawning. You know, she's been a media darling for years now.

In a related story, Spike Lee favors blacks...
