I need to interrupt the apparently indefatigable loosers like Yawn and Lyman to answer Buck.

For people of a certain age, you can interchange miles/kilometres.

For kids, if you say "miles" they don't have a clue.

And the things that we fear/are a weapon to be held against us.

Neil Peart didn't know it, but in 1982 he wrote George W. Bush's governing manifesto. Even used bad grammar, to make it easier for him.

    /Yeah, I'm a Rush fan!

You know, for those worried about guns pointed in their faces, there is medication for paranoia.

When was the last time you found a liberal in a boardroom of the corporations that own newspapers?

    The righteous rise
    With burning eyes
    Of hatred and ill-will
Madmen fed on fear and lies
To beat and burn and kill

They say there are strangers who threaten us
    In our immigrants and infidels
They say there is strangeness too dangerous
In our theaters and bookstore shelves
That those who know what's best for us
Must rise and save us from ourselves

    Quick to judge
    Quick to anger
    Slow to understand
    Ignorance and prejudice
And fear walk hand in hand ...

I really love seeing the compassion and tolerance of liberals when they let their guard down.

So, Tony, it's worse to be capable of compassion but not demonstrate it to an unworthy person than it is to be incapable of compassion at all?

It's about time you admit the left to being part of the pot/kettle equation.

Love to see you spin how hate from your side is OK. It's so revealing.

Oh, I definitely think the left is part of the problem. Don't lump me in the the ubiquitous "them."

I think the fact that we're so terribly polarized IS our problem.
