The Giants always have been the more popular team. They're on a powerhouse radio station; the A's hop from one station to another and barely found a station last season. They've got a beautiful ballpark; the A's are in their third decade of looking for one and churning through star players all the while. I'm told the Chronicle's Giants traffic last year handily outdid the A's traffic, even as the A's won their division and the Giants posted their fourth consecutive losing season.

(The Giants blocked the A's from moving to San Jose, which IMO would have helped the A's greatly without hurting the Giants very much)
