Fucking loved Sweet Valley High. I wanted to be Jessica.

Why her as opposed to Elizabeth?

And yes, I am now going to set myself on fire for knowing who Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield are. :-[

Because I was Elizabeth. Grass is always greener and all that :)

It's okay, I read the Hardy Boys. I mean, it's not okay. I'm just saying I read the Hardy Boys :D

I barely got out of having to go see the film tonight.

Have spoken with at least five women who have demolished these books. They all say it's about as filling as an order of Chinese.

The Mystery of the Chinese Junk was my favorite.

Having typed that, it sounds a bit weird.

I've always heard there's not much mystery there... :D

That book wasn't anything like the mystery of the Black Taco.

I think there's some truth to this ... although the only other series I've seen my wife tear through like the "Twilight" books is the Outlander stuff, which I believe has all kinds of raunchy goings-on between Scottish time travelers (or something like that?).

Anyway, it's all my fault, because some younger women I work with suggested the first "Twilight" book as a gift for Mrs. Coco last year when I was doing my annual last-minute shopping routine. Now I've sat through two movies with glittering vampires, shirtless wolf boys and a whiny, moping Bella.

I should have bought her a toaster! :D

If you're interested in the new movie, but only have a minute (or so): http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/12/02/lol-twilight-new-moon-in-one-minute/

I would argue that video is probably more enjoyable.

Here's a quote from an ABC News article I read:

I wonder what this means about the OP's wife? And Mrs. Moddy? :)

    Just kidding, of course.
