Love REI. I got an e-mail today that allows members to take 20 percent off.

You can never have too many fleece jackets or parkas. How bout a computer system for your bike?

Holy crap, I was dancing a jig over my $19.86 REI dividend.

Do you have a GPS yet? That check would get you a nice one.

Does Radere or Free Spirit make an Idaho cycling jersey? I know they make some for California, Oregon and other states.

How about a Thule or Yakima roof box?

The 20% off one full priced item thing has my mind wandering. You want to make that worth it. if I didn't already have a racing bike, I'd go for the Novara Team Trionfo. It's a sweet ride but costs $3,300. 20% of that is about $660 off.

    Tempting ...

I was going to suggest bike stuff for the kids.
But skip that bike across America, go for the big trip ...

Dude, those REI adventure trips are soooooo appealing.

When the kids are all gone, I'm signing Uma and myself up for some of them.

And I've decided the 4-week bike trek from Pacific to Atlantic will have to wait until my little boy can do it with me. Can you imagine the relationship we'll develop during that time? Maybe in 10 years when he's 13 or 14 and I'm pushing 50.
