We went whitewater rafting for the first time on vacation last week. I figured I would really enjoy it, and I did. What surprised me is that my wife loved it too and wants to go again. I've been kicking around trying to do the Ocoee next (holiday) weekend, but don't any clue which outfit to go with. The one we did last week was great, but does the Pigeon River only. Anybody got tips to share?

    I'm sensing a Ned Beatty joke in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

  3. We used Wildwater Rafting when we went a couple of years ago. They did a good job going over the do's and don'ts before we left, and the guide was both informative and funny. Sometimes you don't get a lot of personality from those folks, but this guy seemed to enjoy his job and interaction with the guests.

I don't remember if their prices were competitive with the other outfits.

Here's their Web site. There's an Ocoee link on the rail.
