    Yeah, someone else confirmed that the whole traveling party gets the same per diem while on the road. That's what I thought and it means he gets about an additional $10,000 in cash tax free, plus they feed him in the clubhouse and on the plain, which saves a ton of dough.

    When you consider 162 games, plus about six weeks of spring training, he's getting his meals provided over 200 days a year.

    And, depending on where he lives, he can probably make some money privately coaching some high school pitchers and/or catchers.

    It's not a ton of money, but it's not so bad either.

    I would also think that the pitchers tip the bullpen catcher in the same way they do the clubhouse attendants, so that's another way to make extra coin.
