that's a joke, right? troy smith is the qb for a 12-0 team and has led them by throwing 30 tds with just 5 ints.

yeah, a one-game wonder, all right.

Well, it's a wee bit more complicated than that. The Heisman was Smith's to lose today if he didn't get it done. He got it done. Case closed.

I disagree with the first part of your statement there, as I have all through this thread, but Smith absolutely locked up the Heisman today.

Ball State passed all over that defense, too. Michigan's been exposed some this month.

And then he put the first team back in, and Ball State moved the ball at will. Had it not been for a flagrant pass interference that officials ignored on that fourth-and-goal play, Ball State lines up for the two-point conversion and the tie at The Big House.

This hole Thread on Troy Smith being a unqualified Heisman trophy winner is just bogus and clearly a Michigan mans rant.

Junkie, your talent for overstatement is getting a bit ridiculous. One of the best defenses of all time? They aren't even the top-ranked defense in the country this season.

Junkie: Michigan's front four is incredible. But front to back the '97 defense was better. This secondary is so-so and it showed today. No Woodson in that bunch to be sure.
