Hebert's post-Sugar Bowl rant

Bobby is from Cutoff, Louisiana ... as in Cutoff from civilization.

And yes, he's been known to make a drunken scene in the press box during both LSU and New Orleans Saints games.

(And at the risk of being nitpicky, this wasn't the Sugar Bowl).

Yes, Sugar Bowl was the Michigan-Va. Tech debacle.

Correct. This was the BCS National Championship debacle.

Nobody with a direct relative on a varsity roster should be given media credentials. Period.

Buy a ticket and sit in the parents' section.

Larry Fitzgerald Sr. Is offended at Starman's comment.

  6. There's no question that Hebert's rant was way over the line for a media person at a postgame news conference. Although in NO he's probably being hailed as a hero for telling it like it is. The NO media, especially where it concerns LSU, has always been viewed as highly parochial (no pun intended).

I still need an explanation for that one.

Indeed. Louisiana is essentially a one-school state, and the fan base — if not the broadcast media — is as monolithic as it gets.

It's a Cajun diminutive for "Robert III." Guess it would be cooler if he was RH3. ::)

Where in the world did you get that explanation?

I guess technically you're right. T is a Cajun way of saying "little". There are a lot of T-Boys running around Cajun country. T-Bob is just a way of saying "Little Bob".

StaggerLee is correct. It has nothing to do with III.

Example: Bobby and his wife have a baby boy, Bobby. He's little Bobby in the house. Petit Bobby.

    T-Bob.

    T for sayitrealfastinCajunFrench petit.

Same for T-Claude or whatever name you want to put behind it.
