HD Upconversion DVD player - Can anyone help me on this?

    The DVD player on my tv room HD TV crapped out. I have been using my PS2, but it just does not work as well. Plus, the controls are a pain.

    Is getting the HD upconversion DVD player worth the extra 50-60 bucks, or should I just wait and get a HD or Blue Ray DVD player in a few months?

    The HD Upconversion is about 90 bucks at BestBuy, but I think I can get a cheap DVD player at Wal Mart for about 30-40 bucks.

    Any suggestions?
