HBO-Worth It?

    Got it for The Wire and The Sopranos. Now those are gone. Curb your Enthusiasm is on hiatus. Kind of wondering why we have it now (6 channels on Dish with one HD). Although every now and then we record a decent movie (The Astronaut Farmer last week).

    Hoping that there will be a series that catches us in the near future.

    That series Generation Kill about Iraq seems pretty good. David Simon had a hand in writing/directing it. And that documentary on how the Diebold electronic voting machines fail to record votes was pretty good. They basically showed all kinds of incidents dating back to like 19-98.

    The docs alone make it almost worthwhile. There was one on autistic kids, the rape of women in the Congo, a two part series on the Brooklyn Dodgers from 19-47 until the move to LA, and Bastards of the Party, on how the Bloods and Crips in LA formed in the late 60s, early 70s.
