    I go to sleep and look what happens ... HB celebrates his 30th birthday. God.

    When I was 30, I was covering Rutgers football; the Mets finished 3rd and were managed by Joe Frazier; and the Big Red Machine swept the Yankees in the World Series. What a wonderful year.

    when i was 30, i was blessed to have known casty for four years already -- quite the phenom, i was -- and his '86 mets were beginning their post-title descent. :eek:
