Have you ever known a murder victim?

    That is odd that this popped up after so long. When it was originally active, my answer was no. Now, sadly it is.

    My grad school advisor/colleague and her tech support husband, whom I also dealt with, were murdered last October by their adopted son. It left all of us reeling.

    Yes, two.

    A childhood friend's father, who interrupted a robbery in their home -- while she and her mother went in a different door and were spared

    and

    An amazing teaching assistant who explained calculus in terms my non-math brain could comprehend

    If victims of terrorism count as murder victims, I can add another to my list... possibly two.

    hadn't considered that. I knew a few people who died on 9-11.
