Tribune apparently wants to merge the Courant with WTIC:

Still waiting for the first TV-newspaper merger that benefits the newspaper.

Certainly not here, and interesting the TV general manager also becomes the Courant's publisher.

I noticed that, too, MileHigh. Now the newspaper will be supervised by a television person.

Isn't this some kind of biblical foreboding, the merging of the lion and lamb or the sheep and bear?

If all of that animal sex you mentioned is code for "utter fucking disaster" then, yes, it is.

Obviously, Tribune is thinking that TV is where the money is now.

It might be right, too. I guess we'll see.

    TV. Internet.
Newspapers want to be everything but NEWSPAPERS. I'm waiting for one to break down and go back to being a newspaper.
GIVE THE PEOPLE SOMETHING TO READ. Jeez.

But you don't have time to read. Ever. Didn't you know that?

    Yeah, shit. I forgot.
    My bad.

I'd love to see that, too, Moddy.

I even have a feeling that the one that has the guts and courage to do that just might be the one that survives, and maybe even thrives again.

Indeed, video is the key to financial success on the Internet.

So wait a minute...they've had to "save money" by gutting the editorial staff, but there's enough cash on hand to build a multi-million dollar set on the Courant grounds?

Rot in hell, you pieces of shit.
