Harris Poll: More Americans believe in ghosts than creationism

    Yes, yes. Harris Polls stink. But 44 percent to 40 percent on the ghosts and creationism shocked me.

    Why? Assuming most creationists are Christians, and Christians believe in an afterlife, it would stand to reason that most Creationists believe in ghosts. Now add in the rest of the population and it's not surprising at all, really.

    Christians believe in an afterlife that has nothing to do with Earth. Or at least few do. I've not seen any Biblical standard or any major Christian religion espouse the idea of ghosts. There's a verse about entertaining angels unawares, implying that angels have taken on human forms and might still be doing so today, but that's angels, not ghosts, and that's open to interpretation.
     
  4. Most creationists do NOT believe in ghosts, because they are not mentioned in the Bible.
