    Why does the adult Scout have to be semi-mannish looking?

    1. Because I say so;

    2. Because frankly if they cast some really steamy sexy babe as the adult Scout, it will be distracting to the storyline.

    Bullock would be a semi-logical pick, but she's already played the 'adult Scout' in 'Infamous,' in which she played Harper Lee herself.

    I don't it should be somebody steamy/sexy. Scarlett johansson, as an example. She's the wrong age for the role, but she's an example of someone who's sexuality pours off the screen in a way that would probably be wrong for the adult Scout.

    But I don't think Scout has to be mannish.
    Anne Hathaway, for example, still to young, very attractive, very feminine but I good type for Scout.

    Yep. Hathaway would be good.

    I don't think of Bullock as being the least bit mannish, but she would be a good type, too.

    I agree though that her previous connection with Harper Lee as a character would be a bit distracting for me.
    Of course, I don't know how many people saw that movie.

    This is all just a plot to get Gronk to read another book.

    Redford could do a 70-ish Atticus.

    There'd be a problem with Duvall though -- the sequel is supposed to be set "about" 20 years later, and Duvall is way too old to pass for Boo.

    Steve Buscemi as the middle-aged Boo?

    She could play Tom Brady, too.
