If everything about this campaign were exactly the same, except the GOP VP candidate was the MALE governor of Alaska, that candidate would have been savaged much worse for all the gaffes, inadequacies, etc. Being a mother, etc. does allow Palin some sympathies a male would not enjoy, and punches have been pulled.

The intense scrutiny directed at her has nothing to do with her gender. If Obama had picked a running mate who was unknown to 99 percent of the electorate before the introductory news conference, similar scrutiny would be warranted. However, he made a better political decision than that.

Especially when they play the victim. It's amusing, to say the least.

Why would someone concede a point when no evidence to the contrary has been presented?

I am so sick of hearing how Palin's being picked on. She basically said that Hillary was whining and was setting women back with her charges of sexism. Sen. McCain, the officer and a gentleman who stands vigilant now against sexism, couldn't hold back his laughter when a supporter referred to Hillary as a bitch during the primaries.
Palin burst onto the scene promoting herself as a pitbull. She fires at the opposition knowing full well that they'll be hit with the sexist/bully tag as soon as they strike back at her. If she were a man, she'd be shredded. Non-Kool-Aid drinkers in her own party consider her an embarrassment. (Please don't tell me it's because she's such a maverick and others are just displaying petty jealousy, either.)
She's got so much baggage and the typical political audacity to say that we don't know about Obama and his association with terrorists.
I am disgusted that MSM keeps spouting the nonsense about how she's going to be such a Republican star in the future. The truth is it ain't gonna happen. She is down to about 45 seconds in her 15 minutes of relevance on the national political scene.

So when the biopic comes out, is it going to be Sarah Palin starring as Danica Patrick, or Danica Patrick as Sarah Palin?
