    Whoa, weird to read this thread and --not immediately realizing it was an update to an old one --see a DavidPoole post. As if he's dropping in on us from above.

    Congrats to A.J. on the new gig.

    Tim Peeler, another former newspaperman, is the managing editor of the site. I wouldn't imagine anyone tells him what to write. I would imagine they wouldn't want him to write something that would put the school in any kind of bad light.

    I did the same double take, Play. Then I checked the date and realized the vintage of the post. RIP anyway, to someone who's greatly missed on the NASCAR beat. And the best to AJ, who is a first-rate person as well as a first-rate sportswriter. I'll be watching for his work.
