And there's no way she could've been conceived on March 14.

Most people are assembled with family by Wednesday night.

Hope everyone has a great day that passes without incident. I just got back from Thanksgiving dinner with about a dozen or so American expats -- by far the best Thanksgiving I've spent outside the US. Good food, fun conversation and an amazing view from 60 stories above the Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Now hopefully the wireless holds out long enough to Skype the parents....

    I get that.

Here in Canada, Labour Day is considered the real New Year's Day.

And not only that, Canadian stores are having "Black Friday" sales.

We had Thanksgiving last month and we already have a Black Friday--Boxing Day.

Is 21's Thanksgiving Tradition over? Sad

Lions won so it's already a pretty damned good Thanksgiving to me (plus I actually get to see an entire Lions game which is rare since I live 1000 miles from Detroit and the NFL just assumes I want to be a Chiefs fan now)
I did spend last night at the bar. I mean, biggest bar night of the year, I have to spend that holiday with the ones I love--- my bartenders.

Definitely not. I got the local paper today so my wife could have the ads and was slightly disturbed how many places were open.
    Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

    Who cares?

Just don't go to the mall for a few days.

The extension of the Christmas season into November also wipes out productivity for the last 6 weeks of the year. It used to be you'd hear "we'll deal with that after the holidays" starting on around Dec. 15 or so. Now you're starting to hear that at Thanksgiving.
