Spring is here because I set my tomato plants yesterday.

Home-grown, organic tomatoes are about 70-80 days away.

it's just in the 40's here in the nyc area, but it must be spring 'cause mrs. shockey told me to call the sprinkler co. today to have 'em start up the in-ground system on our, um, very modest estate. they're comin' on wednesday.

oh, and i heard an ice cream truck jingling yesterday. yea!! ;D ;D ;D

Yes, that was an idle snow scoop. It was resting, it was very tired after scooping lots of snow.

That picture was taken around 10 p.m., so the kids were in bed.

The Football Player was out shoveling early this morning -- without the parents saying a word -- and he also shoveled out mom's Tahoe so she could get to work.

They just said on the news that there is yet MORE snow on the way.

Where the heck was all this snow back in December and January??

Spring here means impatiens. Colored purple, for Jesus. The fireants and their motherships have been ruthlessly vaporized so the planting can begin.

Flowers are blooming and all the leaves are in on my trees. It was 92 today with a pleasant breeze.

Don't apologize, 3BF. It's the price I pay for living in paradise.

I'll post more pictures after I'm done with the story I'm writing.

Low 90s, sunny and windy in the afternoon.

The real problem is the pollen. Every car on the road has that distinctive yellow-green tint of plants that are trying to make life miserable for allergy suffers.
