    I don't know how much interest there would be in it, but I always thought Pete Weber would be a great subject for a biopic.

    Gary Thorne was reduced to doing the PBA? Ouch.

    I remember when ESPN was trying to make bowling a bit more sexy. I think it was around the first time they lost NASCAR, so 2001 or so. I also think that’s when Pete Weber became that obnoxious guy wearing the shades indoors.

    ESPN did a 30 for 30 on him, "The Bad Boy of Bowling," but if you blinked you might have missed it.

    I always thought Thorne was one of ESPN's best talents. Great on hockey. What happened to him?

    I thought he was terrific doing the NHL. One of my favorite calls his of Martin Gelinas' brain-dead penalty in Game 4 of the '94 Finals.

    "MARTIN GELINAS, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!?"
