What's she getting for her bday?

 

Agree, school pictures are a scam. But not as big a scam as pictures from the swanky studio place that charges $100 for a sitting fee, an extra fee for different groups (just the kids, just the parents, mom and the kids, dad and the kids, etc.), a location fee, mark up the prices for prints and then keep the copyright after you shelled out several hundred dollars.

For her bday, she's getting a dinner at her favorite restaurant, and a few frilly, girlie things. For a first grade brainiac, she's really into the glitz, glam and fashion stuff. She says she wants to be a ballerina and a doctor when she grows up. At least she doesn't want to follow in her old man's footsteps.

 

Well, her dad's foots are always locked into bike pedals!

 

The league was going to take up an collection and get her an iPod, or maybe a tattoo.

 

Unicorn on the small of her back? I don't think Ides is gonna go for that ... maybe I'm wrong.

 

Go for the tattoo. I'm thinking a big dragon on her back or a tramp stamp. Get her started early.

 

The least they could do is rake out the leaves from the otherwise abandoned room.
