    this particular headline has been mentioned here before, and while housecleaning last week i stumbled across the clip (thank goodness i stopped saving thoseyears ago).
    anyway, as a holiday treat to ya'all, we bring you an actual copy of the July 16, 1999 PG sports page top.
    the headline is far more clever than the backup baseball writer's game story. perhaps too clever for an audience that wasn't familiar with the correct pronunciation of the young American League flamethrower?
