Forgive me for being politically incorrect, but isn't this the Hispanic version of St. Patrick's Day?

The Mexican holidays are based more on events than individuals. Cinco de Mayo has morphed into a Mexican version of St. Patrick's Day. In Puebla, which is where the event took place, Cinco de Mayo is a pretty big deal.

In Juarez, which is a border town, there are some people who will get dressed up for Halloween because it is close to the Day of the Dead. Some people in Juarez watch the fireworks on July 4. However, you wouldn't know it was Thanksgiving - when my daughter was 11 months old, she got sick to her stomach and we were able to get a doctor at 10 pm at night... he was a good doctor, and reminded me of the type of pediatricians when we were younger.
